Adil Baguirov has certainly made a difference since he became a member of the Board of Education of Dayton (Ohio) Public Schools. Before he arrived on the scene, the Dayton Public Schools district was looking at a state takeover, but now, he and the rest of the board have significantly modernize the system, placing the district in perhaps the best shape they have been in several decades. In their latest state report, the district received an "A,” thus averting the possibility of a state takeover. At his heart, Adil Baguirov considers himself to be passionate about his community of Dayton, Ohio, which is why he feels it is important to make sure he helps his community of Dayton as much as possible. To him, education, technology and fiscal accountability as the keys to building a strong community. During his 2013 campaign for the board, Adil Baguirov made three very clear and succinct campaign promises, all of which demonstrated what he thought was the most important aspects of community. One was to bring better technology to the Dayton school system. Among the specific improvements Adil wanted was better computers for students in the classrooms, but he also wanted special software to provide academic support for students and a mobile app for parents, to keep them more informed and more in control. Adil Baguirov also promised to provide students with a better cultural and academic curriculum, as well as a higher level of transparency and accountability with school district finances. Adil Baguirov’s background makes him well suited to help his community. After all, he owns one of the best logistics and transportation companies in Dayton and he is also a very successful commercial real estate investor. On the education side, he has authored numerous academic books and articles and he is highly valued as a public speaker and lecturer. That he wants to help Dayton so much is really good for them.
